PD-232 Dual Channel Vehicle Loop Detector 220V UAE
Price 150 AEDIn Stock
The PD-232 Dual Channel Vehicle Loop Detector 220V is a professional 2-channel inductive vehicle detector designed for automatic parking barriers, sliding gates, swing gates, parking management and vehicle access control systems.
Unlike a single-channel detector, the PD-232 supports two independent inductive loops. This makes it suitable for installations requiring two vehicle detection zones, such as entry and exit detection, barrier safety and opening loops, or advanced parking control applications.
The detector operates from a 230V AC power supply and provides adjustable sensitivity, fast vehicle detection and relay outputs for connection to compatible gate, barrier and access-control systems.

Dual Channel Vehicle Detection
The main advantage of the PD-232 is its dual-channel design. Two inductive ground loops can be connected to one detector for applications requiring two separate vehicle detection areas.
This provides greater flexibility than a single-channel loop detector and is particularly useful for professional parking barrier and vehicle access installations.
How the PD-232 Loop Detector Works
Inductive loop cables are installed underneath the road surface and connected to the PD-232 detector.
When a vehicle passes over or stops above a loop, the metal mass of the vehicle changes the loop inductance. The detector identifies this change and activates the corresponding output relay.
The relay signal can then be used by a compatible parking barrier, automatic gate controller or access control system.
Two Independent Vehicle Loops
The PD-232 can monitor two vehicle detection loops, allowing two different detection areas to be managed by one detector.
For example, one loop can be positioned before a parking barrier while another loop can be installed underneath or after the barrier, depending on the required control logic.
PD-232 for Parking Barriers
The PD-232 is particularly suitable for automatic parking barrier installations requiring more than one vehicle detection zone.
The two channels can be integrated with compatible barrier controllers for opening, presence, safety or other supported vehicle detection functions.
Opening Loop + Safety Loop
A common dual-loop configuration uses one loop for vehicle-triggered opening and a second loop for vehicle presence or safety detection.
For example, Loop 1 can detect an approaching vehicle and provide an OPEN command, while Loop 2 can detect the vehicle underneath the boom and provide the appropriate safety or presence signal.
The exact wiring and programming depend on the parking barrier control board and required operating sequence.
Entry & Exit Vehicle Detection
Two-channel detection can also be useful where two independent vehicle detection points are required for entry, exit or traffic-management applications.
Each loop detects vehicle presence at its installed location and provides the corresponding signal to the connected control system.
Free Exit Vehicle Detection
The PD-232 can form part of an automatic free-exit system where one of its loops is installed inside the property.
When an exiting vehicle drives over the loop, the corresponding relay can provide an opening command to a compatible automatic gate or parking barrier controller.
Parking Barrier Safety Detection
An inductive loop installed underneath or near the parking barrier boom can be used to detect a vehicle remaining in the barrier area.
The corresponding PD-232 relay output can be connected to the appropriate safety or presence input of a compatible barrier controller.
PD-232 for Sliding Gates
The dual-channel detector can be integrated with compatible automatic sliding gate systems where two vehicle detection areas are required.
Applications can include free exit, vehicle presence, automatic opening and supported safety functions.
PD-232 for Swing Gates
Automatic swing gate systems can also use the PD-232 where inductive ground-loop vehicle detection is required.
Each relay should be connected to the appropriate OPEN, safety or vehicle detection input according to the gate control board instructions.
Adjustable Vehicle Detection Sensitivity
The PD-232 provides four adjustable sensitivity settings for configuring vehicle detection according to loop dimensions, installation conditions and vehicle types.
Correct sensitivity adjustment helps provide reliable vehicle detection while reducing unwanted triggering.
20–170 kHz Operating Frequency
The detector operates within a frequency range of approximately 20–170 kHz.
Correct loop installation and frequency configuration are important where multiple inductive loops are installed close together.
100–300 μH Recommended Loop Inductance
The recommended loop inductance is approximately 100–300 μH.
Loop dimensions, number of cable turns and lead-in cable length should be selected correctly to provide stable vehicle detection.
Maximum 20 m Loop Lead-in Cable
The loop connection wiring can be up to approximately 20 metres according to the published specification.
Lead-in wiring should be twisted at least 20 times per metre to help reduce electrical interference.
PD-232 vs PD-132 Loop Detector
The main difference is the number of vehicle detection channels.
- PD-132: Single channel / one vehicle loop
- PD-232: Dual channel / two vehicle loops
Choose the PD-132 when only one vehicle detection area is required. Choose the PD-232 when the installation requires two separate inductive loops.
