The Nortech PD132 / PD134 Vehicle Loop Detector is a professional single-channel inductive vehicle detector designed for automatic parking barriers, sliding gates, swing gates, industrial doors and vehicle access control systems.
The detector works with an inductive loop installed underneath the road surface. When a vehicle enters the loop detection area, the detector senses the change in loop inductance and activates its relay output for integration with a compatible gate, barrier or access control system.
The Nortech PD132 is designed for 230/240V AC operation, while the Nortech PD134 provides low-voltage 12–24V AC/DC operation.

How the Nortech Loop Detector Works
An inductive loop cable is installed underneath the road surface and connected to the Nortech detector.
When a vehicle enters or stops over the loop, the metal mass of the vehicle changes the electrical inductance of the loop. The detector identifies this change and activates the appropriate relay output.
The relay signal can then be used by a compatible automatic gate, parking barrier, industrial door or access control system.
Nortech PD132 230/240V Loop Detector
The Nortech PD132 is the mains-powered version of the detector and operates from a 230/240V AC supply.
It is suitable for gate and parking barrier installations where a compatible mains power supply is available inside the control cabinet.
Nortech PD134 12–24V AC/DC Loop Detector
The Nortech PD134 is the low-voltage version and operates from a 12–24V AC/DC power supply.
This makes the PD134 suitable for installations where a compatible low-voltage supply is available from the gate, barrier or access-control equipment.
Single Channel Vehicle Detection
