The PD-132 Vehicle Loop Detector 24V is a single-channel inductive vehicle detector designed for automatic parking barriers, sliding gates, swing gates and vehicle access control systems.
Operating from a 24V power supply, the PD-132 works with an inductive loop cable installed underneath the road surface. When a vehicle enters or stops over the loop, the detector identifies the change in loop inductance and activates its relay output.
With a fast 10 ms response time, four adjustable sensitivity levels and reliable vehicle presence detection, the PD-132 24V is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial gate automation applications.

How the PD-132 24V Loop Detector Works
The PD-132 operates with an inductive loop cable installed underneath the road surface. The detector continuously monitors the electrical characteristics of the loop.
When a vehicle moves over or stops above the loop, the metal mass of the vehicle changes the loop inductance. The PD-132 detects this change and switches its relay output.
The relay signal can then be connected to a compatible parking barrier, automatic gate controller or vehicle access control system.
24V Vehicle Loop Detector
The PD-132 24V is designed for installations where a compatible low-voltage 24V power supply is available.
Different PD-132 voltage versions are available, so always check the voltage printed on the detector label before connecting the power supply.
Single Channel Inductive Loop Detector
The PD-132 is a single-channel vehicle detector designed to monitor one inductive ground loop.
For installations requiring two independent loops or directional vehicle detection, a dual-channel loop detector should be selected.
PD-132 24V for Parking Barriers
The PD-132 can be integrated with compatible automatic parking barriers to detect vehicles entering, leaving or remaining within the barrier area.
Depending on the barrier control board and wiring configuration, the detector relay can be used for automatic opening, free-exit operation, vehicle presence or safety functions.
Automatic Barrier Opening
The PD-132 relay output can be connected to the dedicated OPEN input of a compatible parking barrier controller.
When a vehicle enters the loop detection area, the detector activates the relay and provides the required dry-contact opening signal to the barrier controller.
Free Exit Vehicle Loop
The PD-132 24V is suitable for automatic free-exit systems.
A vehicle loop can be installed inside a property or parking facility. When an exiting vehicle drives over the loop, the detector can activate the OPEN input of the connected gate or parking barrier.
This allows authorised vehicles to exit automatically without using a remote control, push button or access card.
Parking Barrier Safety Loop
The PD-132 can also be used as a vehicle presence or safety detector for compatible parking barrier systems.
A loop installed underneath or near the barrier boom can detect when a vehicle remains in the barrier area. The detector relay can then provide a presence or safety signal to the appropriate input of the barrier controller.
PD-132 for Sliding Gate Motors
The PD-132 24V can be integrated with compatible automatic sliding gate control boards for vehicle detection.
Applications include automatic opening, free exit and vehicle presence detection, depending on the available inputs and programming of the gate controller.
PD-132 for Swing Gate Motors
Compatible automatic swing gate systems can also use the PD-132 for inductive ground-loop vehicle detection.
The relay should be connected to the appropriate OPEN, safety or vehicle detection input according to the required function and control-board instructions.
Fast 10 ms Vehicle Detection
The PD-132 provides a fast 10 millisecond response time, allowing rapid detection when a vehicle enters the inductive loop area.
4 Adjustable Sensitivity Levels
The detector provides four selectable sensitivity levels to accommodate different loop dimensions, vehicle sizes and installation environments.
Correct sensitivity adjustment helps provide stable vehicle detection while reducing unwanted triggering.
50–1000 μH Loop Inductance Range
The PD-132 supports total loop and lead-in inductance from approximately 50 μH to 1000 μH.
For normal installations, the recommended total loop inductance is approximately 100–300 μH.
Maximum 20 m Loop Lead-in Cable
The connection between the roadway loop and detector can be up to approximately 20 metres.
The lead-in wires should be twisted at least 20 times per metre to help reduce electrical interference and maintain reliable detector operation.
