The BEA ZENSAFE Automatic Sliding Door Sensor is a professional 2-in-1 opening and safety sensor designed for automatic sliding doors. It combines microwave radar motion detection for automatic door activation with an active infrared safety curtain for pedestrian presence detection, providing both opening and safety functions in one compact sensor.
The ZENSAFE uses a 24.150 GHz bidirectional radar sensor to detect approaching pedestrian movement and activate the automatic sliding door. At the same time, its integrated infrared safety curtain uses 24 active infrared spots to monitor the doorway area and help provide safe automatic door operation.
Designed for easy installation and reliable daily operation, the BEA ZENSAFE is suitable for linear, telescopic and curved automatic sliding doors. Its compact IP54-rated housing, adjustable infrared curtain angle and flexible 12–24V AC / 12–30V DC power supply make it a practical solution for commercial and public automatic entrances.

The BEA ZENSAFE automatic sliding door sensor combines two important automatic door functions in one device. Microwave radar provides reliable opening activation while active infrared technology monitors the doorway safety area for pedestrian presence.
Combining both technologies in a single sensor simplifies automatic door installations and provides a practical solution for entrances requiring both automatic activation and pedestrian safety detection.
Radar Opening Detection
The integrated 24.150 GHz microwave radar provides bidirectional motion detection for comfortable automatic door activation. When a pedestrian approaches the entrance, the radar detects movement and sends an opening command to the automatic sliding door operator.
The radar detection field can reach approximately 4m × 2m at a 2.2m mounting height, providing suitable coverage for commercial automatic entrances.
Active Infrared Safety Curtain
The ZENSAFE includes one active infrared safety curtain with 24 infrared spots. The infrared system provides presence detection in the doorway area to help protect pedestrians while the automatic sliding door is operating.
The angle of the infrared curtain can be adjusted during installation, allowing the safety detection area to be positioned according to the automatic door configuration.
