The BEA MATRIX-S220 Single Channel Loop Detector is a professional inductive vehicle detection solution designed for parking barriers, automatic gates, industrial doors and access control systems. Operating directly from a 220–240V AC power supply, it provides accurate and reliable detection of vehicles and other metallic objects passing over or stopping on an inductive loop.
The BEA MATRIX-S220 features automatic loop tuning, adjustable sensitivity and both presence and pulse detection modes. With a fast reaction time of approximately 25ms, the detector provides quick vehicle detection for demanding parking, gate automation and traffic control applications.
Its direct 220V operation eliminates the need for a separate low-voltage transformer in suitable installations. The detector also features Automatic Sensitivity Boost (ASB), adjustable presence time, LED status indicators and relay outputs for easy integration with compatible gate and parking barrier control systems.

The BEA MATRIX-S220 vehicle loop detector works with an inductive loop cable installed beneath the road surface. When a vehicle enters the detection area, the metal mass of the vehicle changes the loop inductance. The detector identifies this change and activates its relay output to communicate with the connected gate, parking barrier or access control system.
Depending on the system configuration, the detector can be used for automatic gate opening, parking barrier activation, vehicle presence detection and safety control.
